Call Help Center

The Call Help Center is a ministry arm of our Senior Adult Ministries.

The purpose of the CHC is to assist church members of all ages with small needs that arise on a temporary or periodic basis that cannot be met by the member due to health or age-related issues beyond their control. Consistent with our core value that people matter to God and therefore to us (Ministry), the CHC provides a variety of missions of mercy activities to members of our church.

The Call Help Center is located next to the College Street Cafe and the phone number is 963-3334. It is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings. Messages can be left at any time.

The purpose of the CHC is to assist church members of all ages with small needs that arise on a temporary or periodic basis that cannot be met by the member due to health or age-related issues beyond their control. These can include such things as:

  • transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, pharmacy, or church
  • routine yard work
  • minor home repairs (from changing difficult-to-reach light bulbs to minor plumbing and electrical problems)
  • sitting with someone who cannot be left alone so a care-giver can do errands
  • checking in with homebound members by phone to insure they are okay.
If you live alone and you need someone to help with what might be considered a "Honey-do list," give us a call!

The CHC is staffed by volunteers.

Those willing to help can take phone calls and link the person having a need with someone who can fulfill that need. The CHC maintains an extensive resource list of church members who are willing and able to meet the needs of members who call the Center. There is always a need for additional help. Call the Center if you are interested in helping with this mission of grace.

Other significant activities of the CHC...

The Senior Saints Luncheon: a by-invitation luncheon for various homebound and special needs members who cannot come to other activities without special transportation arrangements. Volunteers provide a special meal that is served in a special setting. A program is offered for the guests.

The Angel Room: a mission work for family housing needs. The Angel Room maintains a stock of furniture and some household furnishings for families in need of emergency assistance. Items are received by donation and disbursed free of charge. Tax receipts may be provided for donations. Call the CHC for information on the donation process and to arrange assistance for a family in need.

"None of us can do everything, but all of us can do something!"
